Dr. Kristina Zoulas

Dr. Zoulas's family was originally from Wisconsin, where her maternal grandfather was a dentist and paternal grandfather was a farmer.  Dr. Zoulas was the only one born and raised in San Jose, California.  Her mom is a teacher and is currently still teaching elementary school in San Jose. Dr. Zoulas had her first taste of the East Bay when she went to Mills College (’03).  While she was at Mills, she met her husband, James, who was attending Cal.  After graduating from the University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco ('07) they came back to the East Bay for their wedding. They were married at the Lawrence Hall of Science, had Zachary’s pizza at their reception, and stayed at the Claremont Hotel. Dr. Zoulas is so grateful to be living in and serving the Berkeley community.

Her dental career has included attending an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, an externship in dental implants as well as an orthodontic aligner fellowship program.  She has also spent a fair amount of time as a dental instructor including at the University of the Pacific.  She has been an instructor for dental anatomy, removable prosthodontics, as well as dental anesthesia.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Zoulas loves reading, biking and keeping up with her kids, Eleni (10) and Dean (7) who both attend Washington Elementary School.  She is a big fan of pizza, artisan cheese, and dark beer (it’s the Wisconsin blood).
